About Meadowayne Dairy

At Meadowayne Dairy, our goal is to produce top quality dairy products. Incorporating in 1985, we have worked together to consistently deliver ‘good milk’. Moving into a new dairy barn with 35 cows in June of 1984, we began jugging and selling raw milk fresh daily.

Within a year we expanded our herd by 25 more cows to meet the demand of our community. With the decision in 1987 to build a processing plant for our milk, a facility was added on to the existing structure with the help of community citizens.

In 1991 we made our first batch of cheddar cheese, and began selling fresh cheese curd and block cheese, including cheddar, Colby Jack, hickory, and jalapeño cheese. Later we added soft curd cottage cheese to our line of raw milk products.

By 1996 we were milking 150 cows and had expanded our milk products to be able to use almost all our milk locally.

As business grew and time flew, our sales had grown so much it was necessary to build a new store and offices.   We now enjoy our new Dairy Store and Cheese Chalet with room to stock our whole line of cheese and milk products, and many imported cheeses also.  Our store is open to the public from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm daily, closed Sundays.

Meadowayne Dairy is a family owned and operated dairy.
